Clive
Kennerley, in his lucky
number seven car, won the Vodacom sports
prototype 2- Hour Endurance race at the
Phakisa Freeway on Sunday, 11 February.
In doing so he and his Cobra
club driver Dup du Preez, who was
drawn at a dinner at a local
restaurant on Sat- urday evening, each won
R10 000 in the Vodacom “Dash
for Cash” com- petition. Tommie
Liebenberg, driving his V8 powered Ford
Telstar, made no bones about his intentions
for this year by convincingly winning the
A class in the Free State Saloon car championships.
Pat Allnutt took the class B title with
Charles Smit winning class C in his Volkswagen
Jetta. In the Formula Vees Dennis
Johns showed why he is the current SA champion
by winning in front of his home crowd, much
to his and his fans great delight. (Article from GoldNet) |
