PE Race Report 18 June 2002

The
VSP heats in PE showed the return to form of the Champion, George Ferrirea
(PAK 2000). He won both heats and set the lap record in a emphatic brace
of wins that have move him up to 4th place in the championship
on 130 points. In
the first race George Ferrirea (PAK 2000) won from Don Roscoe (Optimum
Racing Developments) after Don had led the race for a couple of laps.
Francois Gerber (The Tool Shop) finished next, followed by Neil Lobb (DK
Woodcraft), and behind him was Bernard Tilanus (Platinum Asset) who spun
while trying to take second place from Don Roscoe. 6th was
Allan Eve (Ode’s Autobody). The
second race George Ferrirea (PAK 2000) was followed by Francois Gerber
(The Tool Shop), who managed to pass Don Roscoe (Optimum Racing
Developments) and Bernard Tilanus (Platinum Asset) closely followed Neil
Lobb (DK Woodcraft). This race was highlighted by the fantastic race
between Damien Frost and Tony Cook for 8th , which race
epitomised the close racing in the class. The
Points table is closing up at the top, Bernard
