Execuline Shelby Can Am – At the top of the points log of the Execuline Shelby Can-Am championship is one of South Africa’s most experienced drivers. Alan Eve. Only five points adrift are Brian Algar and Dave Beattie but after a long overdue win in the last round in Port Elizabeth the youthful Chris Hart is matching these two on 57 points.

Coming off a win in PE and on 46 points are Rui Campos and impressive newcomer Thomas Reib. Durban newcomer Bryant van der Merwe has applied some great strategy and has 42 points to his credit. Sean Greve is on 41 points and has Jennifer Murray a solitary point behind.

Durban driver, Guy Botterill recently joined the series and showed his pace as he matched the leaders in the last round at PE and also is on 40 points. Craig Shorter has put in some good performances and could upset the plans of others, whilst Colin Frost has more pace than his results have shown this year and Richard Wood is also eager to get a good result after a bad start to the season.

Newcomers Sun Moodley and Hanno Pengilly are looking forward to improving their times as they steadily progress. Cape Town based former Dutch Touring Car racer Bertil Hoffman makes his debut and his progress is sure to be watched carefully by his peers.
