CHANGES TO KYALAMI GRAND PRIX CIRCUIT
- 24 March 2009

Changes are being made to the controversial “turn 10” of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
(refer attached)

The changes, requested by the FIM and done in consultation with FIA, should be complete prior to

the WesBank Super Series event on Saturday 28th March.

The changes will effectively make the old “turn 10” chicane a single corner. The straight from the

existing turn 9 (Bridgestone Bowl) will be slightly shortened and the straight between turn 10 and

Turn 11 will increase.

The changes will result in faster lap times and faster entry speeds into the final turn of the circuit.

The final length of the circuit will decrease slightly and is still to be determined. (Existing length is 4,263 km)

The turn numbers at the circuit have also been revised to accommodate both FIM and FIA requirements.

The circuit will, after the change, consist of 14 turns (refer attached map)

The changes have been made possible as a result of the support and commitment of the Gauteng Motorsport

Company.
