Notes:
1. The events for the season are divided into two types - sprints and enduro's.
A sprint event consists of two heats of short duration - 10 to 15 laps each. An
enduro event is a single race of 1 to 2 hours duration.
2. Points are awarded on the following basis to official finishers for each heat
of a sprint race:

3. Points for an enduro race are doubled. A Co-driver in an
enduro are entitled to the same points as earned by the entrant driver that he
is sharing with.
4. Entrants who qualify at away races (Phakisa, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and
East London) are awarded an additional 10 points each.
5. One point each is awarded at an event for the driver who qualifies on pole
position, and the driver who does the fastest lap during the event.
6. In order to have points awarded, all drivers, including co-drivers, must be
members of the VSP Racing Association
7. In addition to the National Overall champion at the end of the season, the
Association will award internal championships in the Sprint, Enduro and Veteran
categories. Veterans are drivers over a certain age, and are distinguished by
their names and numbers on their cars being green on white. |
