Testing at Zwartkops - 17 October 2007
The new body finally completed!

The latest progress on the new body
  New body
The making of new body is in progress and we are still within the deadline for the first body to be out of the mould at the end of October 2006.

We are using the old VSP plug (more cost effective). The plug will go in for machining on the 15th September 2006, and it will take approximately 5 days to complete. Thereafter it will go back to Garth Waberski’s workshop, and the big process will begin of sanding and preparation to go to a panel beater to get buffed and polished and then the mould can be made. And then the big launch as the first body will be ready towards the end of October 2006. Thereafter we expect 3 new bodies can be made per week and by the 17th of December Garth hopes that 24 bodies will be done (single colour).

Garth is requesting that you send Jannet your single colour requirement of your new body – that will save time to ensure that all members get a new body before the end of the year - so for example Rui Campos’ body that is silver – Garth will make him a gray body that will go to a panel beater for spraying the design in the Boltt colours. If you want a design like Richard Wood’s where the colours are in the gel coating – this will take a lot more time and we request that these kind of bodies will be done last, so that the bulk of the single colour bodies can be done first.
